Early Years Childcare in Hove has received the top award for kitchen hygiene from the Food Standards Agency.

The scheme called ‘Scores on the doors’ measures levels of cleanliness, and covers any premises where food is prepared. Early Years Childcare in Hove was awarded a maximum 5 – Star rating, stating that the nursery’s ‘very high standards are being maintained and food safety procedures are being implemented and monitored’.















Quality and Development Manager Julie Smith said “Food hygiene is of high importance at our nurseries, this award gives some substance to the effort our teams put into maintaining the high standards we aim for. “

The Food Standards Agency’s hygiene scheme is currently only running in certain parts of Sussex, and Early Years Childcare has received the 5 – Star awards in both their Brighton and Hove nurseries.
